community – Why cannot my laptop computer see a sure LAN system by IP?

In my residence I’ve a Synology system at 192.168.1.180. My iPhone, on WiFi, can connect with the system by IP with out difficulty. My laptop computer on the identical WiFi can’t:

  • Utilizing a Synology app on the cellphone to connect with the IP, it really works. If I take advantage of the equal app on the laptop computer, it fails to attach.

  • If I put the IP into Safari on the cellphone, I get a login display screen. If I put the IP into Safari on the laptop computer, it will definitely instances out. If I put the IP into Chrome on the laptop computer, I shortly get an ERR_ADDRESS_INVALID display screen.

Some hopefully-relevant Terminal investigation from the laptop computer:

phrogz@PhrogzBook ~ % ping 192.168.1.180

I do have VPN software program put in on the laptop computer (and cellphone), however no VPN is actively linked. I am unsure what to search for right here to see how VPN could also be messing issues up.

Laptop computer is presently working Sonoma 14.6.1
